Situated between Montrouge and Gentilly, this 2 bedroom apartment is located just a five minute walk from Paris and was deserted for more than 20 years. When we first visited, the property was tired, extremely dark and infringed multiple regulatory norms with regards to security and energy efficiency. Notably the DPE (energy efficiency rating) was at G, which is illegal according to today’s housing regulations.
With the help of our trusted tradesmen and wholesalers (for the materials), we gut renovated the asset to conform to today’s standards. Our particular focus was the thermic and sound insulation, we therefore replaced the windows and enhanced the apartment’s insulation of the walls and the floor, without touching the original layout of the apartment.
The result after 2 months of hard work was astounding: Now the apartment is a bright, energy efficient 2 bedroom, suitable for families who enjoy the tranquility of the outskirts while having easy access to Paris and benefiting from its proximity to kindergartens and schools. The absolute highlight of the apartment is the veranda and exclusive access to the small courtyard, where children as well as pets can have a good time.
